Not the most spectacular nine and tail pattern. If it was a true orange or peach color would make it a bit more desirable than amber. On my screen im getting more of an apricot. According to the color im picking up on my screen I seeing an apricot or an amber that has been tainted with red. Im definitely not seeing an amber. akroorka Posted April 19 Report Share Posted April 19 Let me help here, The amber color of slag’s from all makers varies so much that it is ridiculous. This involves handmade, early machine made/hand gathered, along with the more simple machine made variations. The amount of white involved in the slag itself also has a trick to fool the eye. Orange or Peach colored slag’s are a very rare find. I do not doubt that these may have been variations of what was intended to be amber. I have been searching for a true Akro “Orange” slag for many years—I still have not fooled myself.
