layered sand is (Opaque glass), OP is a slag of some manufacture IMO I see a transparent glass base. you can google pix of layered sands, there all opaque

It was sent to me as an extra bonus when I bought that Greiner. He called it a bonus slag. I'll ask him today. It's probably a cac slag of some sort.

I can't I.D. it myself, all the CAC slags I've seen or owned are double or single seam. It'll be interesting to hear what he says !!
