First project - ball run in a box

When the balls has too much velocity, you must add a fence or rim along the edge of the bowl to avoid balls fly off.

That might be a good solution. I'll have to mock up the finished article before it goes into the box.

I drilled the exit hole 1mm smaller than the ball, then gradually filed it until the ball just went through.

Please keep in mind that the glass marbles have tolerances in diameter and maybe you need to sort the bigger ones out or widen the hole a little bit.

Any developments to report here?

Have we totally sidetracked you with collecting?

Some very bad people have certainly led me astray :)

My wife has also decided that we're joining the town's open gardens scheme this year, but that the garden needs some work...

I've done a little bit more, but it's pretty much on hold (not abandoned) for a few weeks.

I'll be back on it as the weather turns. Too much to do in the garden for my wife to let me play at the moment :)

Are you still working on this marble run? (i'm finally back, was totally forgotten this forum...

It's sitting in a corner nagging me to get back to it when the weather gets worse.
