  1. No CAC - I'd guess Alley too.
  2. I just noticed, third pic down, the pattern looks like some crazy guy wearing glasses - pretty cool. 🙂 JABO used a lot of red transparent glass and some of their Classics can be very nice - I think this might be one of them.
  3. This appears to be a machine made marble that got "spun" - I don't think that is a real pontil, although it sure looks like it might be. As for maker, I have an idea or two but I'm interested to hear what others have to say about this one.
  4. I do think it could well be a big Akro Moss Agate.
  5. I think it's an Akro Corkscrew that ate it's tail.
  6. I think this one may be JABO.
  7. I'm leaning Heaton . . .
  8. it's Alley, and it is "flamey" but I don't think it qualifies as a full-fledged Flame. They really should have 5 stacked flame tips minimum.
  9. It's an interesting marble - might be Ravenswood. Does it react to UV?
  10. Wow, where in the world did you find those? Are they football (soccer in America) team jerseys? The patent info is really interesting too. Do you know any more about the company(s) that had the patent or made the marbles you show?
  11. I'd call that a Tri-Lite, Bill - earlier than any marble typically called a Black Line All Red, I think.
  12. That is sweet little box, Bill. I'm with Art . . . just by looking at the dimensions, and not knowing what the box is sitting on for size comparison, I could easily have guessed that box held 96 marbles (8 x 12). It's really cool, makes me wonder if it was a giveaway or souvenir from the House of Marbles at the fair. I think it's pretty special.
  13. Clearly . . . take it from a guy who knows nothing about hand-made German marbles - it's a divided solid core.
  14. Absolutely beautiful marbles and squeaky clean too! Very nice!
  15. Oh boy, a little Wold's Fair box! Let's see what's inside!

    Crazy Cork

Nice, I have never seen one that large - are they creased pontils? On second look, I do think I see the remains of one on Rick's marble.
  17. I agree that the first 15 are Veiligglas - some nice ones in there too. Number 16 looks like a German striped transparent type. Number 17 looks European - a compressed sparkler type? And if number 18 is not a Peltier Rainbo it sure is an amazing replica.

    ID on this one

It looks like a transparent Rainbo to me.
  19. I believe It does seem like an astonishing price for a Vacor. I think the seller is a fairly new member here - maybe he will have some insight.
  20. It was a dandy when it was new - that's for sure!
  21. Nice big one, Art! You're right those are none too common.
