  4. marble bert has one listed on ebay. it has 150 marbles and is one of two known to exist. bidding is up to $6,300 and reserve is still not met. anyone have any ideas on the value of such a set? thanks, jack.
  5. for the longest time now i have been searching on google for roger and claudia hardys biography and all i seem to get is buy their book. does anyone have some facts on how they managed to did up such fasinating marbles. did they own property near the plant or possibly a obtain a permit to dig on acro's property after closing. thanks, jack
  6. very nice cat's. i have spent a lot of time looking for a six vane cat with a red cross thru, if they are around collectors sure don't want to part with them.....jack
  7. you would think after 25+ years of collecting i could come up with more than 5 cat's that i consider HTF. i've got 9 vanes and all kinds of cross thrus but they have all fell well below the expectations that marlow and larry had put on them. my top cat is a 3 vane with a blue cross thru. marlow has seen this 1" cat and considers it quite rare. the three 5/8" are as follows, st. marys 4 color, anacortes pink base cat and the last is a marble king black cross thru. the bottom is a 1" marble king white cross thru with all transparent vanes. david c. has seen it and considers it quite rare. if any cat's eye collector has better i would love to see some pics. thanks for looking....jack
  8. really cool marbles duffy..i must have slept during 03 lol
