    Red Slags

Here is a link that was on a few days ago....transitional cut offs.......pax Jon http://members.kingston.net/browse/transpics/trans2.html
  4. Looks kinda "exotic" if ya know what I mean....not to open that can of worms again....hehe...pax Jon
  5. More from Vitro and Anacortes........Check out the new book "American Machine Made marbles" Schiffer....They have 8 or 9 pages of text giving a very detailed history....they moved there with 20+ semi trucks of machinery and 80,000,000 marbles.......and took more back to Ohio with them a few years later...here are some pics I have of Cats out of Anacortes bags.....IMHO the very colorful marble above is not Vitro and not Anacortes.....I have seen ones with 4 or 5 colors, but not like that....pax Jon
  6. The colors look very similar, but doesn't the glass have to actually "sub-marine", like dive under somewhere.....I do not know, but seems that I heard that somewhere....here are the pics i have from on the web....pax Jon
  7. Just a guess, but no one has brought it up.......wouldn't the increase of collectors in the last 10-15 years have something to do with some of them turning to the machine mades as cheaper and more plentiful at the time. And hasn't the expansion of the genre had something to do with the overabundance of dug handmades flooding the market lately?....what do you think about that? pax Jon
  8. IT IS NOT A SLAG, BY DEFINITION....SHESSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PAX JON
  9. No thankyou, I like it fine..................pax Jon
  10. Exactly!!......none of my older killer marbles have any orange peel....don't we usually list that as a defect when we are selling a marble? However, that said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....maybe he likes oranges............pax Jon
  11. The Akro Cornelian was a brick like slag with opaque red and white glass and the Carnelian was translucent with orange and brown and sometimes oxblood......neither looked like this nice cork......pax Jon
  12. You guys better be careful, you are gonna incur the wrath of Lizzy!!! pax Jon
  13. Hmmmmmm...well I won it and the price was right.....thanks zaboos pax Jon
  14. Thanks Al.....I was just going to ask about that......pax Jon
  15. Come on Alan...leave us alone with our butt cracks and pig tails......lol....it was good for a laugh...pax Jon
