  1. And he lists "the best Ravenswood ever" at least once a week.
  2. I think I'm supposed to call it "scat" now.
  3. Jeez, now you got me buying books on animal tracks. I got a different one. I'll let you know how it is after I get it. Animal track mail! Oh. And I forgot. It was -20 here this morning, if you count wind chill, and I've learned the hard way that you have to do that.
  4. Wow. I had forgotten that. Looks like he's loose again . . .
  5. I went there too for a split second on the first picture, thinking "A fall-streak hole!" (thanx to The Cloud Appreciation Society). But then I saw the two burning stars and my perspective suddenly warped into reality. Kitty!
  6. Well. Reading both those old threads was fun. I've forgotten how much I'd forgotten. So where were we?
  7. Welcome! It's a never-ending story . . .

    They Were Hungry

    And you know guys . . .
  9. I try to use technical terms whenever I can.
  10. Looks like a hopper going left to right and a trotter going south to north.
  11. Curious about the amount of corkscrew cullet too. I like the idea that Rosenthal might have -- maybe not made, but commissioned? the patches at Sistersville? Finally got the Alley book too. And it kinda sounds like to me that Alley himself was in and then out of Sistersville so quickly, we may be going up a blind alley, so to speak, trying to associate anything found there with L. E. Alley the man -- and what we usually think of as "his" marbles. That's a beautiful box, Ron!
  12. Great thread. Asian patches are a whole new thing to me. Some of them are beautiful!
  13. Thank you! I've usually seen the two terms used interchangeably or been told one was an older term and the other a newer one . . . Since I am unlikely to have any more than the three barely-there half-cyclones I already have (to go with my 6 half-guineas, 2 of each base color), I haven't worried about the terminology much. But these pictures are making me . . . well, weep, frankly. Sob.
  14. We could try again. I'm for it. But then I ain't got nuttin' to lose. Or gain by it.
  15. Here in Chiberia, it was minus 4 this morning when I went to work. Why am I here again?
  16. Red-based sparkler??? EEEEE! Yep, I can live with that! Guess I need to tend to my message box now . . .
  17. Winnie's box messed me up on all of these, when she reported that there was no consistency in the pontils in her box. Are yours all consistent within their boxes, Hansel?
  18. I wish somebody would explain in words what a cyclone is and what a cobra is. I ain't smart enough to deduce it from the pictures.
  19. Anybody have anything similar? Dani/Ernie?
  20. What??? Akro??? >>>quietly holding together pieces of blown mind<<< Although . . . now you mention it, it does have what I think of as that silly Akro "smile" for seams . . . Boy. This is going to take some adjustment . . . maybe even a re-grooving . . .
