  1. How big is that monster? I don't think my Akro eyes streach that far. Guessing 1 11/16"
  2. The Emperor of Akro! Holy Moly! That just aint normal. Someone gave that one some marble growth hormones. That red screams Akro though don't it.
  3. Holy Crap. Miser is in the spirit of this thread. Wow! Love that twisty Zebra. Reminds me of this one I once coveted. Alas traded for a Cork.
  4. Dead on 7/8" is correct David. Good eye! And the king stands alone. Ric next time remember this. Orbboy offers anything he has that aint Akro, for Akro.
  5. Lol don't worry David I'm loving him every day. I can say with out a shadow of a doubt. My favorite Corkscrew. That one in the middle of your group shot aint to shabby either.

    Vitro Superiors

How about it now. 2 min in Photoshop and it's a whole new marble now lol. I had many different vibes about the one I posted. It was deemed Vitro when I posted for I.D and called an opaque Superior type.
  7. I wonder if he works at a rubber stamp company?

    Vitro Superiors

LOL. Nope Ric only the one and its all mine. Found this pic in my sold files. Think it sorta fits this type?
  9. Sure made some nice marbles.
  10. And the one that's killing you Ann is in my top 5 fave marbles I own.
  11. The one on the left is an Oxblood. Oh so close to an auger style ribbon, but not quite. I think I have only ever seen one true auger style Oxblood Spiral.
  12. These are the ones I saw. They varied in blobieness and can be found at www.bigalsonline.ca
  13. Thought some of my Snakes could use some sun.
  14. I think it was an early Running Rabbit auction where I have seen one of these before. A little bigger but with a rabbit for sure. My opinion is it's legit.
  15. I saw more today at the local fish store. Sold as decorations for the bottom of fish tanks. Check your local pet shop to see if they have any. Big Als here in Canada sells them.
  16. You should return the marble and leave Neg feedback. Bout time someone did for this guy. Don't even give him a chance to explain because it will be a crock of crap. Neg him!
  17. Great question. Hopefully someone we all consider a Vitro pro will pop in and answer it for you.
  18. LOL. I just finished reading a thread at some other board where some pretentious dink who has been collecting for just over a year has written an article about these. Too funny. What ever happened to the Vitro guy Randy something or other. Him and Patry were great at giving no bull Vitro info you could trust.
  19. Hell no! Compromise away. Who am I to tell someone what to collect. If you like em you like em! I'm just trying to show what is out there and what people want. Like I said there are "Examples" and there are "Examples!!!!" Peltier is a great example of a certain type of marble selling for $20.00 or $200.00. Take a common 4 ribbon lets say Peltier Tiger with typical construction and a little Aventurine. Nice marble sure, but would it bring as much money as the same size marble with a great swirl and a bit more Aventurine? I think not. Pretty much all marbles follow the "better than others" rule. What I was really trying to say in this thread was more for the newer collectors here. Mainly that if you like Aquamarines spending $30.00 on one of the common ones would be a bit silly considering you might be able to score a nicer one for the same price. Don't be fooled by just a name.
