I want to thank the members who have PM'ed me about the donations for the kids (both at the special ed deaf school that will be bagging them for us to learn a bit of job training that will help them in the future AND the kids that will get them at Christmas time). You are the ones that make the season a special one!!!!! Rich

It's time for me to ask you all if you have any plain ordinary cheap marbles you'd like me to bag up and give to kids like I did last year. You know the ones I mean - clearies, cat's-eyes, etc - the marbles tat are "throw-aways" for kids. If you have any you want to donate, please PM me for my address. My wife will take them to school where there is a program for the special ed students where they will fill mesh bags with the marbles and I'll put tags on them and these bags of marbles will be donated to Toys For Tots. Well, I started with lite transparent green but in the kiln it doesn't look transparent - I have to wait 8 1/2 hours to go through the cooling cycle of the annealing process.

Thanks - I have another one in the kiln right now - 1 1/2" - I'll try to post pix tomorrow - just seeing if I can do one that size...lol

Yes, I made it last night. I can go bigger too. I have 290 colors to choose from! But, I have to use transparent glass for the base. I have a Jen-Ken kiln model F something.... in the shape of an octagon. Do you torch too? What do you use your kiln for?

Here's what came out of my kiln that I wanted you to see - a contemporary slag with Italian glass...lol 7/8" in size
