Handsome ring.

Gary, check out the pic m!b$ posted at the end of the last page. That was the one with the correct answers. iiuc.
Sue, you got that right. Honesty sucks. Very dangerous. I wish I could comment there tho'. They have a couple of foreign mibs being sorta shot around and not ID-ed correctly right now. I'd like to comment on those. I'd try to be nice. Sorry that I suggested that Kevin take a flashlight to his first show. I didn't know that would be so offensive. Live and learn.
BT, is your site gone? No, nevermind. I couldn't see it yesterday, but it's there today.

Very cool. Wonderful pix. That's funky about the half-red half-black bands. Awesome to have them straight out of a bag.
(How hard was it to open the bag?)
-
Thanks for taking care of that for David. :-)
Man, I totally missed out on the CAC's. I was looking at the red, white and blue ones.
-
So that's the post David referred us to at Another Board?
-
-
LOL. Thanks M. Yeah, I only mentioned Sue not me, because of course I deserve to be banned. I'm evil. (lol)
I only tried to support Kevin about 3/4 of the time when he was putting his foot into it over here. Sue supported him all the way up until the end.
-
Thanks Mark.
P.s., I didn't mean your pic was fuzzy. Only the concept. :-)

Photobucket has a setting which provides the IMG code for the picture.
My albums are set up so that the IMG code shows up underneath the thumbnail for the picture.
-
If you have the address of the picture at photobucket, and put the correct IMG code in the right place before and after, it should post.
Here is an example from my photobucket account. The code below gives this image:

Did the Jabo superman run go as high as 7/8"?
-
Lets put this to the test. Any newbies(anyone actually) want to pick the CACs out of this group.
Uh ... no. I couldn't do it. LOL.
-
Well, of course. I think that we can agree that Patrick is a "special case." I'll ask someone if they can post it at MC because I don't have the foggiest idea of how to do that. And I will sincerely request that Kevin take off the Ban on Sue. David P.S. Probably won't be back in here 'till tomorrow morning or maybe not even 'till Wed.
Scott and Kevin are both special cases.
You haven't addressed Kevin's goal/prediction/actions taken to suppress/destroy this board.
Kevin still patrols this board for new members he can recruit for his own board. He PMs them using the system of the board he scorns. In my opinion that's bordering on abuse of privileges. Funny, since when Kevin's been upset at someone such as Edna he has taken away their PM privileges at his board.
But Lou is and has always been more fair and accepting than Kevin could ever comprehend so he has continued to allow Kevin membership here and Kevin can keep stirring stuff behind the scenes.

I've seen the name used more than once. Maybe for two different styles of marbles though. It's a little fuzzy.
Here's a bag Mark posted where he mentioned them. I was hoping anti-blackies would get more discussion at that time but, well anyway, here might be some.

Mark's thread: Vitro Blackies

This is interesting! Great start!
Wonder what that list will look like next year! :-)

Maybe I'll ask again later. ;-)
No I'll be brave. Undeleted:
David, you would hate it if people here recommended that you read a thread at Scott Patrick's board.
Why do you direct us to the board of someone who has declared that this one is going to go down in flames?
If it is important, why don't you quote what you said over here so that banned people such as Sue (our wonderful Sue) can read it?
You would absolutely hate it if we recommended readers to go over to Scott's.
-
Bump.
(I'm not familiar with that study.)
-
Is there a consensus of what an anti-blackie would be?
How long as the name been around?
-
Thanks Galen. This thread was about California sulphides. I guess it wasn't too much of a stretch to bring Hansel's sulphides up again, but I really wonder if anyone who talks about the maker being left holding the bag on them has this story from maker.
I heard something different.
Lotsa hearsay. It's an interesting topic. I do wish we could talk about it without villainizing Hansel.

i have a way of boosting your sales and winning me a freaken prize but i need more high quality single photos of these marbles, lololol,, bj
That's hot.
-
Hey, thanks Pop, that's a pretty good image.
I'd never seen a case like that before this one. But as far as I can tell, those are feet for a stool. (or yeah, maybe a table?) (Why they needed a case, I cannot guess.)
They're sort of industrial marbles! LOL
-
That's a new one for me BJ!
haha, that's pretty funny, David.
-
If it's not fractures, is it debris?
-
we mutually agreed that there's often a diminishment of memory over certain things
Do you mean the diminishment of the memory of the people who were making the marbles?
That's what I think is so cool about having a 1940's article interviewing the boss. That's pretty fresh.
Adding the Paul Bunyans to the mix is a twist. So here are the two main questions I have in reference to that article. (trying to summarize and still keep the topic open while someone comes up with pix of Paul Bunyans for Stacy :-)
1. is it believable that Ravenswood made big marbles using that 2nd orifice?
2. if yes, then would those large marbles be the Paul Bunyans, or would they have been swirls?

[have a sort of 'silver oxblood' pic - just need to put it here, and then Galen's ox pics would be good too]
