  1. I think so too! Alan, or anyone, was there a lot of these found? Also, I think you'e correct on the size even being smaller, 3/4" or so. I found a tray that I had separated the small size out. Although the reasons stated are probably true...I'm just confused on how nice they are...how big they are..and not a lot of desire from collectors. oh well...thanks
  2. It's been awhile and I need to correct the sizes...most are in the .900" up to 1.200". Here is a sample of what I'm referring to......was a lot of these types found? Not sure if the first 2 would be called popeye patches but all they needed was a spin(yes, there is some clear glass). I see them once in awhile on the bay and not bringing much $$ ! Sorry for the LARGE PICS!
  3. Yeah, don't get me wrong....they are REALLY nice (do you mind asking how you have SO many?) but $800 is still a lump even with the rarity. I really was talking about those 1" plus patches and corks. Wan't sure if there was lots found or what the story is behind them but they come up rarely and don't sell for very much at all.
  4. don't seem to have much of a following(besides the JR's that don't do much for me..esp for the $800 price...geez). Why? Was there lots of them found? Seems like the corks do a little better than the patches but I think those patch types are really nice.
  5. Thanks Alan, I'll fiddle with it. It is funky...
  6. Yes, it has a macro setting but is that lens ok? Also, I've read here that it's best to use in manual. It has so many settings and was hoping for a basic must for setting this up. mon
  7. I bought a Canon Rebel T5 with a EFS 18-55mm lens on Black Friday. Is this lens ok for shooting marbles....I not a camera buff and hope someone here could advise me on the basic settings or needs to take ok close-ups. I bought it for hiking but hope it could replace my old cybershot I have been using for mibs! thanks, mon P.S.....who writes these user manuals anymore....or...am I to old to get it?
  8. really like that one^^^^^^^^^

  16. So, this "all knowing" book may not be so "all knowing"? Just sayin......or, as stated earlier in a red mfc thread, it does state that many experimental runs were preformed and nobody knows that red was omitted from the 22 colors bought ...... maybe.......dead horse with blinders....maybe......mon PS: that thread should be in the archives.....lots of great info from mig.....and others!!!!!!
  17. It's not in the book....couldn't be.....just because it has a nine & tail........means nothing! Mon I remember my gramps telling me how he use to throw Vaseline slags at mf's windows cause he disliked the rich.....maybe that's how it was found there?
