I can’t remember if it’s a 99 or 02 or even a different year. Believe it or not I can’t remember the exact run of all zillion different color combos every single time.

I don’t have pictures ready to go but am very familiar with this exact color combo. There is no doubt at all that this is a JABO Classic.

And they also made this one

I believe that is a machine made instead

All my purple German slags are under 3/4”. Interesting. Anybody have big (3/4” plus) purple German slags?

I took some pics of some German slags in the 3/4” range that show some slightly non typical traits. None seem like a match but it’s always nice to see different patterns.

That is extremely helpful info. So both are about 3/4”. The German striped transparent/opaques that I find all seem to be in the close to one inch size. I have a few in the 3/4” size, but you can tell they are a different type than the bigger ones. The German slag sizes are all over the place and feel like there may be 2 or more makers. It would be great to figure out how many different slag makers there were in Europe. I have no problem believing there could have been a French maker.

Mojo-would you please measure the 2 slags for us. I am interested in following through with your ids in more detail

Because the picture is not as clear as it should be, it opens the door to more possibilities than are probably necessary. In the fuzz it is hard to tell if white is coming in or it is more mossy base. Anacortes was a thought from me, but just a passing thought

How big are the red and blue slags?

JABO Bloody Jade in there. Bet you can guess which one with that name. Nice example of mottling on that One Alley.

I think guessing German slags on the first 2 would be the safest guess. No I don’t have ones resembling either, but it’s a logical guess.

The second one is actually a JABO instead of Vitro. It’s a good example of a JABO “butt crack” though so that takes care of that Classic pattern.

If it was big I was thinking maybe German beachball, but that’s a wrong thought. I swear I have a couple of these but without blue that were sourced in Europe that I assumed Asian made or some other unknown maker. Wish I put them somewhere where I could find them to revisit and compare.

the green 1998 marbles in my old picture are not the same ones as in your bag
