  1. Those are great pictures. Maybe someone would put up a few more examples for us to study and admire? BTW, it might be worth pointing out, that today was the day I carried a bloodie around with me at work...for some time now, I carry, in a small cloth zipper pouch, the mib of the day. Sometimes I go rare, sometimes transitional, sometimes flashy and other times I go ugly (mind you, I don't think marbles I like need to be flashy and sexy, they just need to be interesting to me). People who know me, ask to see the mib-of-the-day...and they get a small lesson in glass and a chance to hold something cool. I find it good way to get more mileage out of the collection. John
  2. I hadn't either. But isn't this what this is?
  3. Right on! Good to see some opinions outside my own! John

Thanks so much! I owe you! Now I know. John
  5. At 0.64", I'm leaning Akro on the color and seams, but might be that early Master that crossed the Akro line. Taking votes on this one! Thanks! John

Great..not ever looking to step on toes...I use the search functions often in my studies. I searched MD just now...but I'm getting nothing. I get, like four pages. Most of these pages have dew in there somewhere and Sammy's mountains but not that mib. I'm lazy just now , and maybe a bit too busy to look just now at all four pages. When I put quotes around "mountain dew" which restricts the search, I only get this thread. Maybe this weekend I'll sift through the four pages of hits. I want to know! John

I know, I was lazy there. Didn't mean to offend. John
  8. I think this is a Tiger Eye with horsehair. Does this sound right? John
  9. Really nice. I still struggle with their range of variation, or generally, the basic concept of CAC bloodies. Nice! John
  10. Thanks! Would be humbled if it stuck! John

Mountain Dew is a named marble I don't know. Could anyone post a pic? I wonder if I have any! John
  12. I'm happy to do it and thanks for the bump! Just working on my mib inventory over here and trying to generate a bit more content for everyone, especially, but not exclusively, to those new to mibs. This one was found in a jar, so they are still out there! Keep digging! John
  13. The grey hole is a dirty inclusion. John
  14. I wondered MK too, but it is hard to tell if it is long enough for either MK or CAC. FYI, the colors in the photos accurately reflect the colors of the marble in hand. Thanks! John

Finally, a response! Is this scarce? Thanks Ron! John
  16. Hmmm. I thought this was well known! About 4 of my 12 sparklers glow green, some just trace amounts. John

    This Swirl

Right on. I knew it wasn't a ghost, just kinda seemed like the construction of one in some ways. Thanks! John
  18. And the swirl version of the blue lace. One of my favorite, lesser seen CAC swirls. John
  19. One of my favorite Cairo mibs. UV green to boot! John
  20. Not seeing a Tiger Eye here yet in this thread, and so, here is one! I really think that MM gets a bum rap! Sure, a bunch of the patches are like a pest species of bug in some jars...but there are loads and loads of interesting MM out there...you just gotta look for them. John (Edit: cleaned up a bit of language).
  21. And another polychrome cork (my name for these).
  22. Another polychrome cork. I really like these, and don't think they get the sunshine they deserve.
  23. Can't say I've got any swirls that match up to this one. Almost like an Alley Ghost, but different colors. This one is 0.66" and a stunner, I think.
