In hand the marble looks like the one at 9:00 in the picture.

It’s a Muddy base glass with kiln brick just under the surface. Confederate works for me.

Are there Pelt Cats with colored base glass. Red,Blue or ????

No pontil. Machine made. Under loupe the seams and the way the ribbon stops before the seam has suspended the banana in the matrix.

The amber base glass is perfectly clear. No bubbles. The banana is not on the surface and looks more like a banana peel. My gut says Pelt. But I’m not 100% sure.

My only one. I think they are HTF. My pictures don’t show what looks to be a semi transparent blue base glass is a true gray.

As a painter and artist there has always been the question if black and white are colors. If there is a true black then one needs to recognize there is a true white. If white isn’t recognized as a color then black should be dismissed as well if applies to an ID. Example: If a Pop Eye didn’t have a white ribbon it would be a what ? I’m curious if glass Alchemist from Germany fleeing WW1 or WW11 could have had some kind of formula In producing black glass. Fact or Fiction: Where machine made marbles made so kids didn’t play orb buy Benningtons from Germany ?
