  1. Here's one for starters: Peltier Copperhead- Picture attributed to Grandpa's Marbles/Terry
  2. Hi William, I was thinking the same thing. Will do when I get the chance. Thanks for the kind words too.
  3. Thumbs up for sure. I will add a Toucan to the list as well.
  4. Awesome Pelts! There's a few I see on my list too. You have a Blue Lagoon already, that would be on my list as well. I don't have pic handy but an Orion's Belt, Blue Galaxy, one of those Green Rebels for sure, and I'll add a Copperhead with teal and of course a Silver Surfer. Perhaps a Clear Bee with AV, Poison Bee, Dark Universe, I'm sure there's a few more, lol.
  5. Super news! Thank you for taking the time to post this important information. Also thank you all for the conversation. I'm on board with early Ravenswood Glass. I already fondly named this one a Ravenswood Picasso
  6. At or slightly over 5/8 It looks kinda dark without the flash. ( Ann mentioned photos without the shadows, I can try but I'm no photographer). With the flash on all the colors pop. It has a little of everything maker going on: Tongue, cuts, colors , ear, flop etc. Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, Brown, Plumb, the blue when flashed looks electric a very rich blue, like the old ponds glass Ravenswood used. Raven blue, from what I can tell, clean cuts like some Alley, or CAC, an ear like Heaton, some colors like Akro, you get the idea. It's all over the place. The abrupt cuts in the glass are very cool and unique mib. It's starting to grow on me.
  7. Interesting to say the least. Your input is encouraged - Thank you in advance,
  8. Somewhat better picks of the old Carnival. Less than perfect but still a decent example -
  9. Here's what I found: However Alan may know more: What is iridescent glass made of? Iridescent glass, sometimes called iris glass, is made by adding metallic compounds to the glass or by spraying the surface with stannous chloride or lead chloride and reheating it in a reducing atmosphere. Ancient glasses appear iridescent from the reflection of light off of many layers of weathering. Colored Glass Chemistry: How Does It Work? www.thoughtco.com/the-chemistry-of-colored-glass-6…
  10. I'll have to track down where I put it, lol. I have few boxes to go through.
  11. Here's the group pic with the Carnival, that all came together. There's an odd ball in there that is multicolored with a Heaton type ear in the pattern. The Carnival is a good placeholder. I have two now. This one I might sell off to someone who needs a good placeholder....
  12. I agree it will.look better in hand. I'll be looking this one over for a while. I get all too fascinated with the innards of the glass flow. It's like a whole other universe in there.
  13. Thanks a bunch. I just happen to catch it 2 min before ending and hung in there while doing some research on corals etc. And got lucky.
  14. Here's a few more of the same picks with more playing around with the contrast etc.
  15. Yep, you got it Chad. I'm not sure who made it but it was too neat to pass up.
  16. Super neat Pink Salmon Orange on a green base. To me it's a nice looking old mib.
