  1. Yes, 71 falls within the cac measure, but this is not, I think of jabo
  2. Nice, it looks like it has a third color, ... burnt orange
  3. Agree with Ric, the 4 is dairy
  4. This loose pontil with ring pattern is Navarra, made with the leightons method They are usually purple-based, but other colors have also been used, such as transparent green, amber etc. Usually, European slag has a linear pontil and German ones, can have a polished pontil, like this one underneath.
  5. And, I think there is another reason for the tolerance on these marbles, i.e. is the time taken and the skill with which they were made
  6. Yes, as I said in another thread, small chips and chipping are much more tolerated in hand-made than in any machine, due (as Ron rightly says) of their age. I have seen rather high bids made even on German handmade with very marked chips
  7. The color is very similar to Heaton lime, very nice...
  8. I agree, it has always been a matter of debate I think the terminology "end of the day" is quite subjective, even if it actually has his purpose.
  9. Well, surely in the hand there is a more direct contact, of course....some, the rather occuped ones, are also very nice
  10. Wire pulls in theory, should have a wire beginning and end with that wire, without "touching", but it is also true that it is not always so
  11. Wire pull veiligglas, usually have wires, some may seem swirl after millions and millions they have done, but they hardly look like slag
  12. I exclude veiligglas in every way
  13. Yes, many may have produced it, so as I found many in Heaton
  14. Curiosity - That color in Heaton is called "sweet potato"
