My Sunday's Best, in Honor of Father's Day, goes out to my father, who just turned 89 on June 2nd, and to my Stepfather, who passed in 2004. The 2 watches belonged to my Stepfather and the Buckle was my Dad's from his square dancing days ππ

"Living Loving Maid"....the first band I was in growing up, this was our first song that was learned, along with Judas Priest's "Living After Midnight". For the most part, they were relatively easy to learn and play. Fun Days! I miss singing, but man what memories ππ

I keep it simple. Folgers Columbian or Black Silk. Two sugars and a dash of milk. No creamers of any kind. A few cups before work and a mini thermos until around 10am or so, then switch to either Dr. Pepper or RC cola ππ

For the first time I'm a long time I went rock-hounding yesterday. What fun! Found a rock quarry back in the woods along the Upper Iowa River last week and saw potential, so we visited today and had some decent luck! Found a few really nice banded agates, some decent geodes and other crystals, along with some unusual oddities and a few fossils. Once I get them cleaned I'll post a few pictures. One of the local residents, a spotted sandpiper, didn't appreciate our presence. Unknowingly walked right up on her nest, which was superbly camouflaged amongst the rocks. She let me know with her whistles and her "broken wing display", a method they use to distract predators away from the nest. Here are a few shots of the day!

A nice mix for Slags and Swirls Saturday, flashandno flash...the last marble is a special one for me, I remember Ron liking it, called it a "good catch"ππ

Slag, that's what I meant, not corkscrew. Should have scrolled up and reread your first reply to this post, Art. My bad! Either way, on board with the Akro call.

Hopefully these pics offer a little more clarity on the ID....crazy clearie or something a little different....I've always leaned Clearie but it's just that funky glass that keeps me thinking. ππ

My thanks...it's fantastic ππ

Haven't touched these two in a while...a couple of old Warriors who won, and lost, their fair share of battles. They came with my first few acquisitions back when I started collecting, among the first of my Germans that I won't part with ππ

Yep, I see it now that I'm not outside looking at my phone screen lol! Vitro indeed! ππ

That left one could very well be a Pelt Bo'...

I'm at a crossroads with these two, killer slag with a heart shaped tunnel or this fine Coral...for now the Coral wins ππ On Break and said too myself Choose one lol! Thanks again Steph π

Sounds good...I won't be in a tremendous hurry but will get it to you soon. I might go through a few images before actually settling on one. Thank you Steph!

I have the same issue, size is too big. Using a Samsung AO3, don't have my desktop anymore. I actually chose a Marble too try it out and no go. Any thoughts on what I could try with the tech I use?

Another wow...Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, started in retailing in 1973 operating a Ben Franklin store!
-
Wow...the Ben Franklin 5 and 10 stores started in 1927, filed for chapters 7 and 11 in 1997. There are only 125 left nationwide, dwindling quickly...

I thought it might have been one of the earlier ones! The other Vitro bag had this drug store sticker on it, couldn't be absolutely sure but 60's, maybe 70's...kinda cool ππ
