I agree with Alan here. Something happened where a piece popped off while in the rounding process on the rollers. I have seen plenty of flat sided marbles but they generally have two flat opposing sides. This is hard to explain but it does happen. Once in awhile a marble does not want to roll to a round form. "Flat Spotted" may need to be explained in greater detail than I have to offer here. Thanks Alan! Marble--On!!

They are rare for a reason, maybe Sally has none. I have never held a "Blue Galaxy". I have seen them in person but never picked one up. The dealers hold these close and I respect that knowing that I have dropped more marbles than I am willing to admit. No one at a show has ever denied me to pick it up and feel it and most encourage it. If I was a buyer of course I would--pick it up. I never hold a marble that I cannot afford. I once had a Cadillac dealer offer me a drive in a supercharged STSV, I said no because it was not in my budget, he took me for a drive then handed the keys over. I drove it like I stole it--great fun--he never flinched (the poor tires took a beating😁) Marble--On!!

Nice marbles Ric! That top left one is odd for sure, at least in my experience—nice one. There is also a good example of a Jabo “Butt Crack” in a classic marble, very cool. Thanks for sharing and--- Marble—On!!

I love the "Wicked Owls" and your big one is one to be desired by many--just a "Killer" example. Thanks for sharing it/them. Marble--On!!

Thanks Mia and welcome to TheMarbleConnection. You shared some nice ones here--keep them coming. Share your knowledge here with no fear of any nasty responses. Abuse is not allowed here @Chad G. @bumblebee and @akroorka will respond with haste if it ever happens to anyone here on TheMarbleConnection. Welcome once again our marble collecting Friend. I like it for sure LevvyPoole. I have a few younger grandkids that like to spend time with me doing this stuff, they blow me away really and I have to slow them down just to keep up. They have to be patient when working with me😁, it is hard but a lesson to be learned for sure. Not too long down the road the Great Grandkids will be joining me in this fun. I do it to keep my mind working.

Well, in this case show a jar or two at a time with nice crisp images. Clean the jars for a better result. 90 is a lot of years. Research German hand-mades and look for them in the jars. Based on your blurry images--I do not feel right about the 90 years thing. I am looking at these on a 22" monitor not a phone or tablet. Dust collects in a hurry--just ask any marble collector. Good luck and of course-- Marble--On!!

Nice find and nice images as well. This one shows some opalescent qualities though I could never prove it. There were a lot of glass companies that did not make marbles and many Marble companies purchased "Cullet" or not perfect glass, from these companies. I am in a brain fog right now but there was a glass company that made jars for makeup that many WVS makers purchased this opalescent glass from. I think that you have an Alley Agate here. More opinions and comments are needed here. Marble--On!!

Vitro X2--nice find! I would call it an "All Red". Marble--On!!

If a collector has no patience, they are just "buyers" imho. Trades are a special thing, one on one with no regards to time management. I just love a good trade and I have never had a bad one. Marble--On!!

No corkscrew here. Just a nice WVS. More opinions are needed as far as the maker goes. Marble--On!!

Champion imho. Marble--On!!

This is not a CAC. Alley would be my best guess. Sistersville is out of my realm on any ID. Lets ask @cheese for an opinion. @cheese along with others has a new book coming out soon regarding WVS. Marble--On!!

It is not an Akro Sparkler--nuf said. It does look like an English (UK) made marble imho. Bloody cool damage with this one. It took a beating and kept on ticking. Marble--On!!

I have a few boxes ready to open--for a long, long, time. It does take some patience on my part, but I do pretty well. I wait for a special period to open them--it just gets me going once again. I just love this stuff. Thankfully my trading partners know this from me--Patience on my part. It is the key to collecting anything. Wait and be rewarded--it will come for sure. Marble--On!!

Like I said Alan, I do not know Hand-made marbles and the terminology involving them. We will both agree that this one was once a cool marble that had some work done to it. Hand-made vs Machine-made terminology is just different from what it should be in all of our minds. It (the marble) was saved, and it is deserving of some of what we are visiting here together. A re-worked marble—not an original finish. Still not too shabby imho. Thanks for the info and this may be an enlightening post for many involving the machine-made vs the hand-made Polishing info that many may not have found elsewhere. You keep me on my toes, and I appreciate it. I just love this stuff—learning from others. Marble—On!!

Sunburst? Well not quite--maybe a run of the mill. The thing is with Master vs Asian is not just the seams but the glass and the construction as well. A few folds here and there will push it towards an Asian made. The finish on the seams will always push it towards a Master for me. Not Master Glass but Master Made. This one has a few as-made little indents or inverse little bubbles that I associate with Master made marbles. The pocket wear is what I would expect to see in a Master. Master Made Marbles made some of the finest ever to compete with the Stone agates that all glass marble makers were competing with at the time. They held up to a lot of abuse. It is hard to find a really beat up Master Made Marble in my experience . This is all of course my humble opinion. Marble—On!!

Lets see what @Mojo has to say here. Marble--On!!

I have looked at this one plenty of times. I just had to chime in🙃. It is a Master Made Marble imho. Marble--On!!

It is still out of round Alan that is why I will stick with buffed. Maybe "heavily buffed"😁. I consider a polished marble to be quite round and out of place in the scheme of things relevant to the original. I get what you are saying though-- Great opinion for sure Alan. I am not great at handmades. Just a play on words imho. Marble--On!!
