  1. I agree with Ric--True Peewees are 1/2" or less---no squeezing the calipers. Just not peewees that you have--close is no cigar it is a requirement. Still pretty small for an Akro cork! Marble--On!!
  2. I have not seen any Akro literature listing sizes for sale that included anything under #00 or 9/16”. That being said, The Popeye boxes were filled with a peewee placed on top of the pouch. As I recall they were Popeye Patch types. Collectors call the little ones Swee’ Pea after Popeyes little (adopted) Son/Pal. 9/16” Akros are a hard find for me unless they are the “oxblood patch” type which seems to have quite a few in this size. The thing is, if Akro produced 9/16” marbles there are bound to be a few peewees floating around. That is just the way in the manufacturing of marbles. I have seen a few peewee patches—never a corkscrew--- in my hand anyhow. So yes—they are pretty rare imho. Always check a rare peewee of any maker for any signs of polishing. Marble—On!!
  3. I do not grow pumpkins-Canned Tuna in water rocks! (right out of the can)
  4. Here is an Amazon link to the book-- https://www.amazon.com/Arnold-Fiedler-Glass-Marble-Excellence/dp/1456737023 Read the reviews. Marble--On!!
  5. Nice score Mojo. Lay them out on a big tarp and take an image for us😁. You will not be bored this winter. Marble--On!!
  6. Here is a thread from AAM. Was The Cambridge glass site dug? Were marble machines found there? I do not know. Explain the cullet---- https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?t=18298&sid=f3bf52f0f4614fdd6e76fb0eb03e9c72 Good stuff Steph! Marble--On!!

  8. I would call this one a PPP--Peltier Peerless patch--there is just a big chunk inside. Marble--On!!
  9. Google always helps Ric. Marble--On!!
  10. This is ours tonight--just a Killer recipe-UMAMI to the Max Pasta with Tuna • 16 ounces linguine or other long pasta • 1/2 cup olive oil • 6 garlic cloves, minced • 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper • 2-12-ounce cans albacore tuna packed in water, drained • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice • 4 teaspoons grated lemon peel • 1 lb frozen greens (thawed, chopped and squeezed of excess moisture) • Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid. • Return pasta to pot. • Meanwhile, heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and crushed red pepper. Sauté 30 seconds. Add tuna, and greens then stir to heat through. • Add tuna mixture, lemon juice, and lemon peel to pasta. Toss over low heat about 2 minutes. Add reserved pasta cooking liquid to moisten. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.
  11. Here are three-- I grow monster pumpkins. I just love canned tuna. My wife and I just saw Flamingos on Lake Michigan
  12. Thanks Ric--I will not lie--I had to look this one up! At first I thought that you were going to share a recipe-(chocolate chip cookie recipe---yummm) Marble--On!!
  13. This was a mistake for sure--not quite sure how it happened--I am "glazed" as well🤪. I just copy and paste. Marble--On!!
  14. I have a hard time finding oxblood here too Chad—it is just “I think that it is” based on experience. These “Milkies” are some of the worst runs made by Akro imho. Some are just great—most just suck with folds and creases galore. Marble –On my friend!!
  15. The left one is a WVS--of some sort ( i suck at wvs id) The middle one is a slag---a very well filled slag-- these well filled slags could be from anyone. The third one is a guess--a slag of some sort. Marble--On!!
  16. I posted a few yesterday and this one received some attention so here goes! I put my scopes on for this post. This one is just over ¾”—out of round with “crowd marks” like a Bennington. I measured the marks and they are all over the place so I will call them fire marks or crowded marks as opposed to them sitting on a devise made for firing, it did not meet any rollers. I thought that it felt light weight wise so I compared it to a “Benny” the same size—it was the same—in grams. This marble has what I would call a light glaze for a finish. Ric spotted the “20” mark—good eye—I missed it (We all know that @Ric looks closely but that was spectacular) I missed it. It is just part of the over color or striping—quite cool really! You are seeing all four sides—Thanks and---- Marble—On!!
  17. I am posting this one in the ID section--tell me what you think-- Thanks and-- Marble--On!!
  18. If that is oxblood it could be an Akro "Milkie", they were all over the place with coverage from a tad to a lot. Marble--On!!
  19. Just as a follow up--That helmet on the far right is just killer with what looks like Kokomo-Lipstick red--just Killer!! This is my first in this color combo--love it--it really lights up in hand. Marble--On!!
  20. It was actually raining today so I took some time to sort through some recent purchases. Take your time—Winter is coming—. I am sure that you can tell my fave—the Akro yellow Ox patch---a pretty hard find—for me at least. The three whites in a row are all old hand-made. There were some very similar clays that were included with this bunch—Watch for these—they do resemble machine made game marbles—just a tad out of round for the most part. The bigger clay at the top—I cannot remember—either I was warned about them or at the very least informed—. The top left is a Vitro “Cosmic Rainbow” the one to the lower left of it—I do not know—a WVS for sure is all that I can say. Yep-- a Popeye showed up in the mix as well as a nice Vitro to the left of it. The two far left are Vitro Cats in GB Packers colors—after a 17 point comeback this week-end—who can blame me---😁 Funny what you can find when you really look—take your time and collect—these all came with pouches that I bid for with the exception of the yellow ox patch—the rest are all a bonus. Put your specs on, use a nice light and take your time!! I know that Fire does-follow his example--just take your time!!! If you need any further images—just ask--- I just love this stuff!!—Just love it!! Marble—On!!
  21. I am pretty sure that there is a MCS with these colors--I just cannot remember the third color--nice Rainbo Fire! Marble--On!!
  22. Compare the colors to a blue Pelt Banana--could it be one that floated on the surface--?? Marble—On!!
  23. Nice marble Fire. The base looks blue to me—instead of clear glass. Of course that Popeye with the trans yellow base that glows I have always considered a “Popeye”. I would nestle this one in with my Popeyes, not being sure just what to call it. Where else should it go? Marble—On!!
