I'm not a contemporary collector but looking at Steph's name list of contemporary makers - under the BM initials are Bryce Majors, Boyd Miller, Brian Mortenson, Bill Murray and Brian Myers. There were none under BW initials.

I have a similar bag. Have not opened it (did not want to release the radiation....)

I'd be interested in what other long time Pelt collectors have to say. 15 years or so ago, the pictures that I posted by Guy and Chuck were considered to be bifurcated just like the OP and first pic in my post above. I have seen it narrowed down in recent years to just the base glass being the bifurcation. Either type is hard to find.

When you have clicked on an eBay item and want to copy the link to post it somewhere else (like on this board), you go to the address bar at the top of your page - the www..... "thing" and highlight the entire website address, right click and click copy. Then paste it wherever you want it pasted.

Great variety!

It is possible. I bring some of the plastic boxes (and so do a few others) but I won't be at this show. Also, there are usually a few of the wooden "show-off" boxes that people make and sell or are getting rid of theirs. By the way, collectors do use the small 2x2 or 2x3&1/2 plastic bags to keep their marbles in with tags or notes on ID's, etc.

If you have marbles that need to be ID'd, bring them and have them separated in "whatever" so you can make small notes on paper to put with the marble so you don't forget the ID. Memory is funny, especially when the marbles look similar. Same thing for ones that you buy. You can also take pictures of marbles for your future reference and learning.

This picture was posted back in June 2003 by Bob Block as a complete group of the Peltier Nova marble run. He got them from Gino Biffany so that is a good provenace.

I'm a red, blue, yellow & white advocate. The brown is yellow with "covering" of blue and the light blue is just the other blue with white "covering" it to make it lighter. JMHO.

Imperial is not a manufacturer. Imperial Toy Company, previously out of the L.A. area, is a packager of marbles. Back in the late 70's & early 80's, they packaged Vacor marbles. Then, they found cheaper marbles in Asia, like the ones you posted, and started buying them. As we don't know manufacturers names from Asia, the collecting community starting calling these marbles, generically, Imperial. Here are a few bags/package pics.
