Thanks for the reply Bo. I was looking for any types not just the high end ones. And just wondering if M M made them. Think I could find any type of peewee cleairies/purees any easier? thanks.

I am looking for 50 Master Made, not Master Glass, peewees. No larger than 1/2". Did they even make them? Willing to buy or trade. Thanks for the help.

I am not sure of the date. Can’t even remember where I got it from, found it on an old disk I had. It looks like the three boxes are Akro, Christensen, and Peltier. So……….. “IF” the add is using the term Onyx to described Slag-type marbles, then the listing for No. 5 “Rainbo”, a name Peltier used, would be quite interesting. If this is the case, we may have to rethink “who actually made the larger Slags”. In the past, it was commonly believed that only Akro and M F Christensen produced the big ones. Even if they are not Slags, a box of 15/16” Peltier’s would be something to see. What da ya guys think? And, had anyone seen the bag “National Rainbo Agates”? thanks.

and not all "9's" are from the hand-gathering. thanks.

I would say/guess "Yep". thanks.

I believe the companies used the term onyx for thier marbles which were meant to imitate the hand cut/ground agate types from Germany. Akro also used Carnelian for the same reason. Some of the ones from Germany were made from onyx and carnelian stone. Striped Onyx. Of course the original, German, handmade slags did not have a name that I am aware of. Clear as mud, right? thanks.

Nope, not the original box. Ya got an extra, empty, box of Akro Agate Tri-Colors you can spare? LOL. thanks.

Yes and Yes. I think they may be Akro Agates. thanks. "never judge a marble by the size of it's butt crack"

I have seen one Imperial box, from a very well known collector, which did contain Oxbloods. If I can remember right, and that can be tuff for me to do anymore, it had two rows of silvers and a row each of lemons, limes, and blues. thanks.

Very interesting "?". The Akro Agate Co may have been the King at naming their marbles. So riddle me this, why didn't they put a name to one of their most beautiful marbles, or did they? Un-Named?? thanks.

Well, I don't believe I've ever seen another World's Fair bag like it. Nice find!! thanks.

I find these type of discussions, not arguments, very interesting. However, they can be quite confusing, to me at least, but confusion is my normal state of mind. If I am understanding you right, the blue/yellow in your 1st post would be considered an Ade because it's a swirl and this one, becasue it corks, would be considered an Ace (sorry for the bad pics). Correct? Thanks.
-
Yeah, what Tank said. I myself, would not call these two marbles "Ades". Could be wrong though, certainly have been before. Isn't this a great hobby? Thanks.
