    Jimmy Hendrix?

It's a collectible marble, but yours is in pretty rough shape.
  2. Type 1 Tiger Eye 100%
  3. Are these all photos of the same marble? Each one has such drastically different lighting that it's difficult to tell what we're looking at.

    Jabo-Vitro?

They all look like Jabo to me.
  5. I'm thinking Pelt, Alley, Jabo
  6. Thank you for the reply! I am still very much learning and might be confused on the topic of what makes a Rainbo vs. a NLR. It was my understanding that Rainbo's had 1 or 2 ribbons, while NLR's had 4+ ribbons. When looking at the marble in the photo, I think I'm looking at 6 ribbons, but I could be wrong on that as well. Any info or insights on this marble, or on how to better ID these in the future, is greatly appreciated!
  7. Size is 21/32". Sort of looks like photos I've seen of NLR Polar Bears, but could also just be a no-name transparent base NLR. Anyone familiar enough with NLR Polar Bears to know whether or not this is it? Thanks!
  8. What a collection! Your grandfather would be happy to see you enjoying them so much.
  9. Holy smokes that is quite the collection!
  10. Thanks! Here's a couple more sets of photos:
  11. First one is a Lifesaver
  12. Thanks! Here's another one. Just shy of 3/4".
  13. Most the examples I've seen of Vitro Easter Eggs are the Type 2 Tiger Eye Pattern. However, I've seen some attributed as Easter Eggs that are of the Type 1 Tiger Eye pattern, as well as a more loose swirl pattern. So I had two questions: 1. Does an Easter Egg need to have a Type 2 Tiger eye pattern, or is it more about color and can be found in other patterns? and 2. Would the marble posted here be considered an Easter Egg? Size is just shy of 5/8" (39/64"). Colors are light lavender, blue and yellow. Thank you!
  14. Slowly but surely taking photos of various pieces in my collection. I'll update as I take new photos. Here's one to kick-off. Size is 21/32". Ideally I prefer buying 23/32"+ for NLR's, but this one is a good placeholder for now.
  15. Hadn't even considered Master - looks to be spot on! Thank you both
  16. Size is just shy of 11/16" (43/64"). About half of the marble is clear. The dark color is much more purple and vibrant in-hand, but was difficult to capture in a photo. I think this is a Vitro Tri Lite but many of the other Tri Lites I have don't look nearly as nice, so I wasn't sure if this was called something else. Thanks!
  17. Hello everyone! I've been lurking/reading/enjoying the content here for a while now. Decided to finally get around to making an account so I can participate a little more. I've been collecting marbles fairly casually for about 5 years. My favorites tend to be Pelt NLR's, Vitros and Akro Corkscrew Specials. I've also been collecting coins and paper money for about 20 years, and I'm hoping to publish my first book on paper money (specifically German Notgeld from 1918 - 1922) before the end of the year. I'm very happy to answer any questions related to that obscure corner of the collecting world at any point in time :). - Nate
