A New Akro Competition - What Do The Numbers Stand For?
mmuehlba replied to hdesousa's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Hansel I think they would be just like the others as if you put them in the right order and then mic them up that would tell more the very smallest most likely were hard to make / sell so they just took them out , but I would think they matched the others , if we had all the sizes then I am sure every one would look with a mic ?? very nice and I did save the pics thanks . what ever it was , the only one I ever saw and is just a great item glad to see pics of it again , how do you display it ? Mike -
I do not remember if I still have the package but in the 60's they were clearies marked as crackle marbles all they said was boil the marbles and then put them in ice water , I have a few and every time there out to look at there always is small slivers of glass they break very easy , it can be done to any marble will show a peltier orange sunset . Small Pewter Sculpture Of A Boy Playing Marbles
mmuehlba replied to mmuehlba's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
So now I know who got that I wanted it because I thought it was filled with plaster as the big ones . I never ask so is it solid or is that area on the feet showing the filling ? and as far as who made mine any one that might be able to see the marking and let me know . Mike the picture of the big one shows the opening where the plaster was showing as it is just thin copper over it . -

well I tracked Dale down on facebook asked if I had the correct person and yes I did got this reply Dale Ziemianski said "You know I think I still have the original! Nice to meet you Mike." so all is now solved . Mike -
Hi I have had this a while just stuck in a cabinet so wondering if any one could read the name better that me as I am guessing as I find t hard . so any thoughts any one else have one as mine is 6 of 150 . is it Dale D Zieniaisk as he is an artist but kind of different than this picture ? or is it spelled different ? I also added a picture of how art is different over the years . still kids and marbles . Mike

well for sure not a carnelian , I have one and what makes it different is all the bubbles in the base glass so what causes the bubbles , it could be a ringer with out the white , or an imperial that went wrong and got bubbles but I think I have one but no oxblood , as far as value well if you like it great . but I think you pictures might make it look different just put it in with some others, if you have them if not well that is why we are all addicted just but more . digital pics always depends on lighting and will change and of course what you are looking at them with . for sure oxblood because it is on top . enjoy . and just wondering if I may have over payed , well if was $1.00 you got a great deal if $50.00 you paid to much , also remember if it was in an auction and you were high bidder you just paid more than any one else wanted to pay . Mike oxblood not a carnelian not a ringer not a imperial marble separate showing air bubbles but with lighting changed well not sure if this answers questions I think it is on the different side and the oxblood is always worth the money . Mike
