glangley
Any idea on that symbol in the middle? Kinda looks like the freemason ensig, but i can tell it's not. Way cool Duffy, thanks for sharing that! Let us know if you get it, my fingers are crossed for ya. GB

marblemansion
Yeah - its a "V" and an "A" crisscrossed with kinda like marbles in the middle - stands for Vitro Agate - if my guess is correct.
RedRoseT
Steve ~ Do you think that might be from the sign that was on Rt 31 in Williamstown? Remember, when you turned right off of 31 to go up the road to the plant? There was a sign there - all the pics I have of it are on my old computer but this sure looks like it could be that sign. Do you remember when Jack started working the plant at Williamstown? If it is that sign, then that would tell you approximately how old it is. I can't remember and all of my reference books, pictures, materials (and marbles) are currently in storage so I don't have any references handy. Poplarhead
yup paula i think thats the sign that was on 31... I thought I saw that sign at the relocated Vitro Agate plant when Ron and I accidentally went by it in 2003 when we were garage saling during our trip there. We were lost and came by the Vitro plant with gate shut. Don
