nutz4lutz
Here's a 5/8" marble that I got at the show in Marietta, Ohio recently. My first take is that it's CA, but some things about the construction give me doubt. It seems to fade to white at one seam which I don't think is a CA trait. Am curious as to two-seam versus single seam Striped Opaques. Which is most common?
BuckEye
I have the exact same marble, no one seems know what it is. You can see its on a white base which leads me to vitro or weird mk, although it looks cac. I got mine from Mark (mcmarbles), maybe he has found out more

nutz4lutz
Mark, I'm content with the purchase....if I see something I like, chances are I'll buy it no matter who made it. I like a good mystery every once in a while.
stacyw
Really pretty marble! I think it might be one of the Vitro Fancy Conquerer types that were discussed in this thread: http://marbleconnect...vitro-question/ A few of them seem to be showing up lately. I sure wouldn't mind finding a couple more. Forgot to ask....is it opaque or translucent?
MC Marbles
FWIW...The two I still own do not appear to have a clear base. I'm glad you guys are OK.. I just wanted to be sure.

stacyw
Mark - maybe I'm totally wrong, but aren't the ones you are showing "Fancy Tiger Eyes"?
MC Marbles
You are right.. Fancy Tiger-eyes (I call'em Exotics) My point is Conquerors are on clear bases.
stacyw
Mark, I realized that it didn't have a transparent base after I posted. And your Exotic Tiger Eye collection is great . They are one of my favorites. Are you the one who got the sweet ones that sold on EBay a few days back? If $ wasn't tight right now, I would have had those!
