has anyone else ever opened these and found another marble inside? got one that was open! had a vitro hybrid cateye in it. it was obvuoisly made this way too. it weighs the same as those we have never opened.

Is there a way to open them without destroying them? Maybe mine will contain some CACs.

I have opened them without damage but some will not budge

Here's a picture of one that Pete showed back in 2008 and another pictures someone else posted. I know some of the bands are on real marbles to begin with and others in "shells".

I had one in the small suitcase that I opened. And another loose one. Both had marbles in them. They were mottled not the fiber optic look.

Thisis an interesting thread because I have a couple of them and never even knew that they could even be opened. Ditto with the question that ''bumblebee' asked. how to get them open and not mess them up.

I think the ones that break apart are older than the ones that are that solid plastic with no marble in them. I've dropped several and they fall apart, so maybe if you smack it against a table or other hard surface it will just break apart for you.
