Marble Sizes

Can someone please enlighten me as to the sizes of marbles that are correlated to numbers such as:

#00 = 1/2"?

I need up to number #10

I think 1/2" is 000.

00 = 9/16"

0 = 5/8"

1 = 11/16"

2 = 3/4"

4 = 7/8"

6 = 1"

That might make No. 10 = 1 1/4". There is a reference to No. 10 MFC's here, but I don't see the measurement.

I think those sizes apply to many/most/all American made. But German marbles could be different.

I agree with Steph on the USA side, and in fact the import marbles do seem to have different sizes if you look at this Butler Bros catalog clipping from 1928.

This is from the MFC booklet. It says "Illustration shows actual sizes", but the size of the picture depends on the size of the screen you're looking at. If we assume No. 6 is 1" diameter, No. 10 is about 1.6 inches diameter.

I should have thought to compare image size before I made my guess about what No. 10 might mean.
