Beware Emails!

Hi All~

I got a couple emails in this morning from fellow collectors that were getting suspicious email from Alan Basinet. They wisely did not open it. very suspect. I know most of you would do the same, and shake your head like I did, but you may want to let others know this type of activity is going on.

His account was hacked before. The first time I got a fishy email from him, I was able to write him and let him know. Now we can't.

I got an email that had "Alan Basinet" in the sender box, but I couldn't verify the actual email address. When I imprudently clicked on the link in the email, it went to a link about Ellen Degeneres and how young she still looks. The next day I got another email from someone who may or may not have been the same sender, and that link went to a website reported as being fraudulent. I didn't investigate any further.

never ever ever ever click on a link in an email from someone you do not know. Your toenails may now fall off and large patches of your hair may turn green.Now thats a Bad virus infection(LOL)

As I think every one in his address book must have gotten them just mark as spam it might help . Mike

The second email, I didn't click on the link in the email. I copied the URL location from the email, then pasted it into the URL box in the browser. The first email, I wasn't thinking and when I saw the sender name, I naturally was curious.
