venwood
Isn't the red in a ruby bee transparent?
lstmmrbls
A lot disagree but a Ruby Bee used to mean it had red aventurine. The sparkle giving it the gemstone designation. Lets hear from a Pelt Head.
machinemades
Galen is right for Pelts. The name originates from Marble King Ruby Bee, applied to Peltier Red Bees with aventurine.

lstmmrbls
Some folks started designating a difference between red bees and ruby bees marbles due to transparancy and not aventurine. Problem with that is they can all be the same marble made in the same run as some colors(and red is one) will develope transparanct the longer it stays heated in furnace. And there were individual furnaces for the striping colors on NLRs. It was not added in tiny amounts and only being at temp for a short time like the crucible set up that makes swirls. NLRs are multi stream marbles. Ruby should mean sparkly which should mean Aventurine in my book
migbar
I'm sad because I've never seen red glass with aventurine in a Peltier marble...

migbar
Thanks Sami. It's not far from my house. I was going to try to rig up a side car for my walker, to hold my Peltier stuff.
