Steph
One vote for Alley.
Steph
I posted that vote without seeing Darla's answer. Naturally seeing her post makes me doubt my answer especially since it was some of Darla's photos which helped me sort out my coral collection. I'm still sorta leaning Alley for the moment. pedidoll
I wasn't sure I was seeing the coral color then I decided I did,,I am glad u mentioned it Steph,,,The Alley coral I have are a much lighter color,,thats why I said Champ..BUT the Champ I have more of the clear green in the marble..so I am really not sure. cheese
Dang, I should pay better attention! If they were 5/8ish I would stick with St. Marys alley, but at less than 1/2" I don't know about that.
Mattshaw1953
Hello all, Thanks very much for you're help, did any of these companies make solitaire boards? With there being 32 in total? I'll upload some more pics later, as I'm at work. Any more input would be great!
Steph
The Rosenthal Jumpo Marblo set came with 32 marbles which were 1/2" give or take. I measured them to range from less than 15/32" to a hair over 17/32". I have two sets with patches. (ignore the black one)
Mattshaw1953
Hi, some more pics, I've looked in books and online, could they be CAC swirls? I've a lot of machine made's but these seem really nice quality, any more help would be great!

Steph
Don't see pix in the last two posts but do see the group shot in Post #12. So far they still all look Alley to me. Them being peewees makes it interesting. Alley did make peewees though.
sissydear
I see some clear areas between the green glass. is it clear glass or green? Ron told me to watch for clear areas as a sign they were Champion Agate. I'm not good at IDing from pictures.

Mattshaw1953
Hi, I think the clear areas are green glass, there is also a red strand of glass which follows the pattern of the red swirl. You can't see this without magnification.
cheese
Here are some of mine IDed as St. Mary's alleys to compare. The green ones are on the slightly smaller side I noticed, but mine are 19/32" or so (not peewees).
Mattshaw1953
Hi Cheese , yes these look a good match. How can you differentiate between CAC and some of the Alley swirls, when it's thought Alley purchased the CAC production machines? Does anyone have a comparison pic?, or is based on personal opinion and gut instinct? Thanks in advance. Matt.
Steph
Galen, do you think you could whip us out a picture of some of CAC's Green & Reds?
Mattshaw1953
That would be great, there's more than one listing on eBay of these green and reds, listed as "CAC or Alley"? One from a prolific seller. Thanks Steph et all.
cheese
CAC made a similar one, but the green and red were very opaque and little to no bleed between the colors or clear in the matrix if I remember right. Plus the ribbon looks different. I have one or two I can dig out I think.
