"Original Box Of Antique Christensen Agate Guinea Marbles Estate Fresh!"

Best offer accepted ... and that best offer was apparently less than $4500

Yet this "Local Estate Fresh" box photo is from a Morphy Auction, where the box sold for nearly $13,000 in 2011.

Grainy Ebay pic and original Morphy version:

maybe they just had a cash flow problem. the listing said the top of the box was missing.

Didn't see the part about the missing lid. Still strange to use a four-year-old photo for a "fresh" estate find.

I guess I'll stay puzzled.

Will try to remember to look for feedback on it.

Stains on the box top make each of these boxes distinguishable from one another.

I think the eBay seller did not want this box recognized.

Still no feedback left either by the seller or buyer.

Either someone got a good deal or was scammed or most likely the seller was having a bit of fun, pirating a picture from Morphys and listing the item cheap.

Update, I checked the sellers competed listings and could not find the box or the other Guineas he sold. I talked to my buddy on the phone. My friend DID buy two additional guineas from this seller, not the box. They came as described 9/16" mint blue based guineas.

So this second "Local Estate Fresh" box is from a 2012 Morphy auction?

Well, it still could theoretically be someone who bought the Morphy guineas and then passed away and this was part of their estate. But an ebay seller using an old pic for something which is worth thousands?

??????? and more ???????

I know all things.

Just kidding but I spend time on coin collecting boards they seem to be a lot more active and I learn a lot there like how to tell how much a excepted best offer was.

Here is a web site that has the info. You need to enter the eBay item number

Some time I can not get it to show but normally I can.

Enter the item number where it says key words
