migbar
Thanks Bob ! I don't drink, but one of my sons brought me a few Lagunitas Little Sumpin' beers a couple days ago, and they were quite tasty and most pleasant. Here's to you, Bob !!! ManofKent
What's the local brewery Bob? My little town has England's oldest brewery - founded in 1698 and a couple of craft breweries that produce much better beer.
kbobam
Lagunitas was a new one on me, Mike. They look like some fun people making interesting beer.https://lagunitas.com/beers Richard, I have no idea what's going on here at this point. I think there's at least one local spot that micro-brews some stuff on premises. It's funny how wherever you go the locals never seem to think very highly of old established brands in their area, even though people from out of town can show up and think it's terrific beer. (And would never refer to it as "Feline Output"!)

We only get the Lagunitas IPA over here - I'd describe it as a nice pint, but it's more of a nice bit of a pint as you American's insist on using tiddly little bottles Shepherd Neame produce some decent beer but I'm not keen on their big sellers - MasterBrew and Spitfire - very hoppy but without any complexity. They do a good Autumn beer called Late Red, We had another big brewery - George Rigden's that became part of the Fremlin's group, but then Whitbread bought them out and very quickly closed the brewery (Whitbread did this on a national scale - buying up other companies for a few years then deciding to pull out of brewing). EdNargel
PBR rocks!! (old established Wisconsin feline output)
kbobam
I always thought PBR was nicely 'dry' and better than many people give it credit for. Granted, it's one of our classic American collection of bottled beverages which cause people world-wide to exclaim "So those Yanks really call this stuff beer?" But I wouldn't turn one down, unlike a few other brands I know. ( :
EdNargel
You should always drink PBR out of a can, just not the same from a bottle or on tap. It's about all that I drink, good and cheap, it doesn't get any better than that
kbobam
Ed, you're absolutely right, and it was only a week or so ago I found that out. I've always had the cans. Don't have a clue about the bottles. But I tried one on tap and it wasn't awful but it just wasn't the same.I don't know what Richard's talking about. Our US bottles are reasonably sized. ManofKent
Bob, but Miller Light is stretching the definition of beer a little Enjoyed a Sierra Nevada Torpedo last night.
Steph
Half my family just moved to England! But I don't think they drink. So maybe I should have posted this in the Random Conversation thread.
