Jjay
I've tried to group marbles according to their style. I thought all theses were Akro Corkscrews and then I changed my mind. So would y'all mind telling me what they are if you can tell by these Picts? Thanks.
Steph
Yes. Some pretty ones. Akro Limeade at #9. I'll go Popeye on #3 and #7. And maybe #1? ??? Is that a clear base? Or is that transparent green? Does #6 and any significant amount of clear or is that a pretty solid white?

Jjay
Hey Steph. #1 has a clear base. # 6 is pretty much solid white. There is small amount of clear in between the colors, but not much. thank you for your response and all your help. Al, I am greatful for your help. Thanks for looking and your input. jjay
Steph
I'll go popeye on #1 ... and just leave it at nice tri-color cork on #6.
Al Oregon
"Pop" - opening up a can of worms, Steph. Remember discussions on "white" not being a color. Then # 6 is a 2-color cork....LOL!
budwas
Excuse me for cutting in here but what's with white not being a color? Please direct me to that discussion.
Steph
Sometimes white is a color. Sometimes it's not. That helps, doesn't it! To Akro, in the Tri-Color Agates, the three colors could include white. (On the left in the Tri Color line in this picture is a Lifesaver -- yellow, red, green -- the green may be hard for you to see in this particular scan. The rest have white as a color.) Similar with Prize Names. They're "two-color" ... and sometimes one of the colors is white. Popeyes are a different category. They have clear and white and two other colors and we sort of don't count the white as a color there. I can't remember the other examples where we don't count white. They'll probably come to me. Al Oregon
The discussion comes up in a variety of marble types. The Vitros like Parrots are supposed to have 4 colors but if they have white, that does not count....
jeeperman
The limeade appears to possibly flare out on the pole we can't quite see, starts out like a nice cork but it might just have to be a nice limeade and not a complete cork.
