Having got the marble in hand today I had the same first reaction as when I saw when I viewed it here. First thought was I wanted it to be Alley. And it may be, the one thing that steers me elsewhere is the cutoff. The cutoff is sharp and dead straight across. Alley tends to be rounded and CAC tends to be dead straight.
