Mikie_T
I had to have a marble fix so I found a small bunch I thought might be interesting. I do see one German swirl in the second bunch. There is a couple in the bunch that looked interesting.... see any more? Mike

Steph
Looks like a mix of Jabos and older marbles. (Jabo on the 1-inch swirls.) Older ones include some Vitro Conquerors. First pic, 2nd row from the back, in the middle ... multicolor one ... what is that?
Mikie_T
I don't have these in hand yet so I am a slave to the sellers pics. I couldn't find that marble you are speaking of in another picture. BUT, some of the ones I found interesting are the ones I marked with arrows. So, Steph, these larger ones (like the one I have marked with the yellow arrow) are Jabos? The one in the second pic with the black arrow looks like it has an amber base glass. Any idea of the maker? Mike Now that I get a better look at that one... I looks like it has a chip out of it.....
Steph
I can't be sure of maker of amber. From that one view, some chance that it is handgathered, so could be MFC. Condition does look rough.
Steph
White arrows -- 1st arrow pic, on left -- base texture looks modern -- Asia or Mexidco right arrow -- I don't know Second arrow pix -- yellow arrow -- I'm pretty sure that's Jabo white arrow -- that does look vintage -- colors are that of a Vitro conqueror, not quite sure of the structure
Mikie_T
Thanks for those comments Steph. I always have to hope there is a treasure in my buys... (LOL). When I get those in my hands I will post some better pics. Still, I like the way some of those swirls look so that is what makes me happy. Not real old or rare but still fun. That is what it is all about for me. Mike
Steph
There are a couple of other Vitros and Pelts I would reach in and pull out for a closer inspection. And first pic on the back row, there's one which I wonder if it might be oxblood.
Mikie_T
Hmmm.... yep, I was wondering if there could be an oxblood or 2 in there... We shall see......
I'llhavethat1
There are a couple yellow/red ones in the back row that might be worth a closer look. I'm digging the blue glass on the jar, did it come with the marbles?
Mikie_T
Yep, they are putting the marbles in the jar and are sending it all. LOL.....
I'llhavethat1
That sounds a bit scary, hope they pack everything well so nothing gets damaged
Mikie_T
YEP... You are right. Maybe I should tell them to keep the jar. I already have a couple of jar that look like that.

Steph
Number 1 -- the green and clear -- could be an odd Vitro Conqueror. I'm getting a Vitro vibe from it in any case. #2 is a slag -- looking Akro from here. #3 is a Vitro Conqueror. #4 ... I think another Vitro. Wondering if it is an "Opal". Does it have "fire" (an orangish glow) inside the milky interior when you hold it up to a light?
scooby
#3 would be a v patch conqueror i have a couple of those..circa ww2 i think.i do like #4 and does look like an opal like Steph said..

I can see the same characteristics in several of the others. Mike
