Marbleneophyte
Bought a shoe box full of marbles a few weeks ago and I've become fascinated with them. I'm learning that identifying them is not so easy. Is this a Peltier Blue Galaxy?
Steph
Hi. Welcome. That is a Peltier Multicolor Rainbo. A Blue Galaxy looks like this: (That's actually a polymer clay lookalike, made by Carl Fisher, but it's a really really good lookalike.)
Steph
Here's @JerryG's picture of some multicolor rainbos ... AKA multicolor swirls. Typically they have three colors of ribbons in a transparent base.
Marbleneophyte
Thanks for the quick reply! The examples are very helpful. I have a couple more I need some help with. Do I need to start another thread?
Steph
Yes, please. Makes it easier to keep straight which marbles we're talking about.
wvrons
Blue Galaxy is opaque blue base with yellow and black, no clear.
Chuck G
Ron is very correct. "Blue Galaxy"--a variant blue opaque base, with swirls of yellow and (has) to contain black av. in a possible swirl pattern. Now there could possibly be variants to this color combo. A time frame for these examples would be a (guess) by me but could probably come close. A very good marble to have in a collection, rates pretty high for a Peltier marble.
