Does this look like a hit or an as made?

Great marble.

Unfortunately I think it's a hit.

The last 2 photos look good. It's the first one that has the defect or damage?

Hard to tell. Could be both.

Yeah. I have another CAC that has a similar chunk  out of the white. Yet the chunk is seen later down the marble as if remelted into the marble.

I'll see if I can locate that one or at least the photo I took for comparison.

Looks more damage than anything....but damage is damage, regardless when or where we speculate it happened.

Looks like a flake. I have had a number of CAC slag 100 count boxes, and many of the slags had these little 'flakes' that would be laying in the bottom of the boxes from the marbles moving around and bumping each other. Very common on the slags.
