Berryb
One of the threads in the ID section morphed into a discussion about "electric" colors. I think they might be a judgement call, It still would be interesting to see everybody's "electric" mibs. I'll start with my only one, my big ol' yellow slag. Chad G.
I just traded and sold the last of my Christensen's, but here is a picture of a Christensen striped opaque my friend Terry has, As you can see the yellow is extremely vibrant, this is the definition of an electric color, batch glass, pure color, still yours is a "nice marble Bruce" I have a great number of slags, love em, none of them Christensen, I sold, traded or gave all my Christensen away. . Chad G.
One of the best examples of electric colors I've ever seen a rare Christensen green based transparent submarine, not my marble but a friends way out of my price range, still one of if not the best I've ever seen. He sold this mib some time ago for $2500.00, now you couldn't probably touch it for $3000.00 to $4000.00 or more, immaculate shape, no fleas, asmades nothing, for a marble of it's age and type VVVHTF. An oversize Chrissy @ 21/32nds, This is about as electric and exotic as you can get. I see marbles like this in my dreams, I don't usually like Christensen but in this case I make an exception. Chad G.
A Christensen electric yellow single seam slag, much brighter than Akro or any other companies slag. Almost neon when held in hand.

Berryb
So mine is not electric. I have been told that it was. It certainly stands out in a crowd. Keep the real electrics comin'. Thanks Bruce

Thanks Bruce I don't know if I would call yours electric Bruce but it certainly is bright, maybe different lighting or background would give a different perspective, in either case a very nice mib

Chad G.
Out of all the Christensen I've ever seen, that would be the one I would have no problem owning but the cost was way out of my realm at the time, I can only imagine the money it would bring now, yeah that ones a whopper alright Chuck. Guess I could've made payments ? nah !! A one in a million accident for sure, at that price I'll stick to pics. I had the marble in hand when he still owned it, and as in any mib these pix do it no justice.
Chad G.
A pic from one sold on mibbage's old site another Christensen submarine, closely resembling the other but smaller at 39/64 and a slightly lesser pattern. Still a very rare marble in any shape or size. Another fantastic example of a wet mint marble and electric colors. Another view of the same mib Ebay sale Ebay Ebay hand gather Christensen, a little on the rarer side Ebay

Berryb
Chad; after seeing your last post I gotta stick with my O P mib bein' electric. It is nearly identical to your "electric yellow slag". The biggest difference is; mine has some white on the surface, where yours appears to be all sub-surface. You have a better pic, and the color shows better. I will try to get better photos of mine. I'll try different backgrounds and lighting. Chad G.
I've had several Chrissy electric yellow slags and the yellow color is inside and out, some with a lot of white some you could barely detect. It just looks external in the pic because of the window in it. Many of my yellow electrics had white on the outside and inside, I'm sure under a different light yours will turn out to be electric yellow also Bruce. I grabbed these examples from all over, my old ones my friends, Ebay, where ever I could find some really good examples. Hang on a sec I'll post an electric w/ white in it. Sami just sold this one the other day, white doesn't qualify or disqualify it as being electric, it's the color of the yellow. A slag will always have color outside and inside like yours and the yellow above and the one in the pic below. I believe you have an electric mib Bruce I was just posting multiple examples so you could get a good idea on electric colors. I traded the last 5 Christensen I had last month, I guess I got burned out on them. Going with Pelt and some newer Dichro. Heck some of these marbles I'd have to save for 6 months to buy, way out of my price range.
Chad G.
There's a lot of people on every buying and selling platform trying to get you to believe what they have is what they say, when they know it's not. I wish people could just be more honest and forthright. 5 minutes of research will generally tell you what you have or at least give you a good idea, if you're selling something and don't know "say so" The people bidding generally know what their throwing their money at you would think ??. Everyone is out for the money, kinda takes the fun outa this hobby. I'm very glad for places like this where we can all come to learn, share info, make friends and have a little fun while were at it. So many bad posts and outright scamming going on. Ah that's enough outa me, I guess it's buyer beware like always.
