Fire1981
What type would this be ?
Ric
It's an odd one, regardless. If the base is transparent, I would say a wacky Type 1 - they are the only type with 3 colors plus white. If that is the case, what looks like a white ribbon was supposed to be a polar patch. If the base is opaque, it might be a Type 4 with an additional color where the second white polar ribbon should be. I hope this makes sense. Or maybe it's not a Tiger Eye. lol
wvrons
Not a Tiger Eye.

Fire1981
I don’t know what separates a Vitro Patch from a Tiger Eye. Are there other examples of Vitro Patches with different color combos? If anyone can post some patches that would be awesome 🔥
Ric
In general, Tiger Eyes have a clear transparent base, except Type 4, which have an opaque white base, two different colored polar patches and two (seam-to-seam) white equatorial ribbons. Ric
And patch and ribbon would describe the majority of Vitro marbles, some of which have names like, Black Line All Reds, Tiger Eyes, Yellow Jackets, etc., and there are probably hundreds of P&R color combos that don't fall into a named category- they're just P&Rs. wvrons
Vitro made hundreds of patch or patch and ribbon marbles that have no name or special group. I don't have many pictures of no name ones as people want to see the named ones. Some no name can fit into a certain type and some will fit two different types. Many large Vitros have no name. More large Vitro have no name than those ones which do have a name.
