Caterpillar
These two photos show the remainder of what's in my marble jar (for now). I'll add more sooner or later. A mix of types. Top row: Rooster and Peacock. Middle: Panda. Bottom row: Starfish and Owl. I seem to like opaque types. Top row: Blue Tang and Red Panda. Middle: Elephant. Bottom row: Ladybug and Blue Dolphin.

Caterpillar
What's in a name? I bought a net of Asian Elephants to use as players, if and when I can get a game in. Later I decided to get a net for the jar. I couldn't find any Asian Elephants at the time, so I went with Elephants...only to find that they're different. Note that the UPC has a different number...and that I managed to get the Asian Elephants on the top in the last photo. And then there are Owls... I know Vacor once had Wicked Owls. Thus far I haven't been able to confirm it, but I think these Owls are the same except for the deletion of the word "Wicked." I'm glad I decided to keep the header cards.

Caterpillar
Here are some more from the jar... Top row, L-R: Blue Tang, Ladybug, Chameleon. Middle row, L-R: Monarch Butterfly, Caterpillar, Stingray. Bottom row, L-R: Blue Dolphin, Red Panda, Elephant. Looking down into the jar again. The shooters migrated to the top after I photographed the marbles individually. They'll be added to my Vacor album. And while taking those photos, I noticed a few "oops!" There's a misshapen (I don't know the correct term for that particular mishap) Owl and two Red Pandas that look to have gotten splotches of iridescence. 2
Caterpillar
Why not show the rest of the shooters from my bulk lot (that survived USPS, anyway)? We'll start with Starfish. Some Firefighters. There is a small possibility I misidentified these. And the rest. I'm pretty sure on the IDs. Clockwise from top left: Poison Dart Frog, Polar Bear, another Poison Dart Frog, and Samurai or Thunderbolt. (Edit: nope, bottom left is a Dragonfly. Thanks to TheVacorFan for the correct ID!) One did break in transit, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Considering what was in the rest of the lot, it's a good bet the casualty was another Starfish. Edited February 11 by Caterpillar Corrected an erroneous ID
TheVacorFan
I think that bottom left marble in your 3rd pic is a Dragonfly. A Samurai doesn't have a blue translucent base (and it doesn't have brown swirls either).

I held it up to light and noticed the translucent cobalt blue base for the first time. While not the greatest, the photo below shows it sitting on an LED flashlight. (Please excuse my hand; I really should get a light with a stable base.) Thanks for the correct ID!

Chad G.
Smore Vacor, I have quite a load lying here & there, guess I should round them up & take a group shot, I know I got a couple HTF discontinued ones from a good marble Brother I just have to get the old noodle ticking and figure out where they are
Chad G.
I gathered up some Vacor, w/ the largest being a Scorpion, there is also a smaller one somewhere in the mix, there may be one or 2 that aren't Vacor. I was kinda in a hurry ??
TheVacorFan
Wonderful mix Chad, love them! 👍
Caterpillar
The big Scorpion is too cool. I see at least a Half Pound of Rounds in my future! And here are all four of my matte shooters. Those on top might see a game, but those on bottom will not. These are Caterpillar and Panda 2, of course.
TheVacorFan
Cool! I have a question: Do you rub the dust off of your matte marbles, or do you leave it on? Personally, I think they look better without, but what do I know?

I just rubbed it off with my hands, I think it's not dangerous. I'd just wash my hands after. I guess you could use a rag too.
Caterpillar
I'll give that a try with the display shooters. Thanks!
