Early Vacor Cat's Eyes???

Recommended Posts

I recently got a whole bunch of these marbles together in a big jar (mixed in with mostly game marbles). They look foreign, but a little different from the Asian cat's eyes I have (the base glass looks very shiny and is pretty grayish). The vein colors look very dingy too (even more so than the Taiwan and India cat's eyes I've seen).

I was wondering if they could be some sort of Mexican product, since Mexico was the largest producer of foreign cats eyes besides Asia.

You have examples of the 1940 ones ? ,

No, I don't have examples.

That's what I'm saying.   I don't know what the 1940's version looked like.

Perhaps Elizabeth has them in her book, but I have misplaced my copy, so I cannot check.

My brother also has this one:

The colors seem way to bright and crisp for a West Virginia swirl.
