Alan Posted December 5 Report Share Posted December 5 A "Chalkie" is just marbles run with slaggy scum in the glass. A batch defect that would normally have been corrected. Somehow folks started to think they were a type of their own at some point. I see your point about the reflection. I'd like to see it with less light at the termination point, if possible. It was winter--just after Christmas. The house-cat got a-hold of one and it rolled down the cold air exchange and back into the coal fired furnace--Mom kept the cold air return quite clean back then. After an up-grade to a more affordable fuel oil furnace🥶😁. This marble was found. An Akro “Turquoise” slag. Yah, I dream about this stuff and have had it happen too.
