My 80 year old mom had these in a box and asked me to see if they are worth anything. No idea where to start.

What you have is a small collection of vintage marbles. Nothing jumps out at me as being expensive. In fact, my first look suggests they are relatively common types. The single color transparent or opaque marbles are "board game marbles" and are of little if any interest to collectors. Many of the cat's eyes and common West Virginia swirls also have little value. Having said that, there are a few Vitros, Akros, and others that might be more collectible, all IMHO, of course.

I agree if the goal is to sell them, I don't see rarities, but I am always drawn to the West Virginia swirls visible here and there in this group. Translucent with black or red swirls—worth a closer look.

Closer look at this one. Oxblood I believe.

It is an Akro "Silver Oxblood" Linda Gail---very good eye!!

Condition is everything though.

I think that there is another Akro or two involved here--it may be a "Blue Oxblood" but the images do not support it.

Not a bad bunch of marbles.
