I also read that marble king made some like these and there are also foreign red based cats eyes.  How do you tell the difference between them?  Size?

Those cut lines do look akro!!

Akro did make a cork that carries this name. Yours may be a weak corkscrew.
My first thought was Vacor—then MK, then I looked again at the cutlines. This is the way---
