Any QC person who let too many of these slip by probably would have lost their job. And just to keep things in perspective, Akro closed about 15 years before this collector was born and people were likely digging there 10 years before he was in kindergarten. What do you think the odds are that a kid walked into a Five and Dime where a bushel of brand new Akro Spirals were selling five for a nickel and they pick the "Ghost Snake Killer"? You've had plenty of great marbles and I admire your efforts to market them but try to keep it real. I am probably not the only person who finds this sort of hyper hype off-putting.

I wasnt intending to hyper off put any one I'm sorry if I turned your gears about the title It just came to me and i thought it was funny. Truly was was not a marketing tactic because I've already sold this marble and was only sharing it to get some feedback on it and spark conversation. It will not be hitting my ebay. I suppose my sense of humor was mis interpreted but thank you for your honesty and I will consider it inย the future. I also have no clue how the production process took place at the factory they were made and was not intending to come across as trying to discredit your knowledge of Akro manufacturing. I completely enjoy hearing feedback from you as I learn so much.ย
marblemanvintagemarbles
With that, It does really have a uniquely transparent (ghostly) spiral with a snake like structure. I felt like it was a killer marble. Just seemed like a perfect title for the post.ย
Ric
And I really didn't mean to sound harsh. I have an aversion to marketing hype, in general. I know people collect all sorts of marbles. I like a lot of marbles others would consider junk and I am sure I have thrown away 1000s of marbles others might consider valuable. There is no accounting for taste, one person's killer is another person's reject.ย If you had titled this post "Unique Ghostly Spiral", I probably wouldn't have said a word.

Fire1981
Just list it as a Big Akro Corkscrew. The size is a nice bonus. Can you post a pic of the UV Pop๐ฅ RAR

This is just a nice Akro Cork that includes itself with many that are rare and hard to find. This is a first for me and I am impressed. There is no need to get fired up about names here---I think that it was just a reaction to the find. I would be fired up too if I found it. A fired-up reaction to a rarely found marble is always a great thing to share with us all. MarbleโOn! My Marble Collecting Friends! ย
