Asian? Vacor? Master? Akro?…or?

11/16” I’ll start by saying it has the colors of a Vacor Red Devil, but the glass does not match, the seam configuration is dead on for Master and for Akro (including eyelashes at both ends)….. The eye appeal and unique feature of the marble is the detail of a red, yellow and blended (orange) band that “encircles” the marble from seam to seam……. Had it in the Vacor pile as a Red Devil until observing the features closer…..What say you?Here are close up views of the Cut lines, seams and eyelashes

 

The top row is a color comparison of a Champion Pumpkin (Hot Wheels) and a Champion Red Cloud …. Also a comparable colored Akro corkscrew to the right…

Given that this is a nice enough marble, and odd enough that you're having a time getting a handle on it, and the colors (especially that yellow in the first pic and the splotchy orange), and the fact that you are in California, I would encourage you to also think about early Vacor possibilities - El Aguila, perhaps, it sure wouldn't surprise me.

I just did a quick little research on El Aguila…. I didn’t know that they were pre-Vacor Marbles……According to the look on some of their “headers” on bagged Marbles, there seem to be some samples that match mine……

Similar story/category with Charlie Stutsman’s list of his set of 26 champions

i have the pumpkin and the red cloud, but dont have the dark red cloud

supposedly yellowish/green streaks across the dark red base. Does anyone have any samples of a dark red cloud that they can show?

@chucks_mibs Ahh, Vegas for quite a while now, I guess it has been a while. 🙂

Let me poke around and see if I can find a dark red cloud. I'd be kinda surprised if I didn't have one somewhere.

And you should check out Stephen Bahr's YouTube videos on El Aguila - they made some really nice marbles.

The orange peel texture would be weird for either an Akro or a Master--or even a Champion (more likely though).

I think that @Ric is right on top of this one.

Sleep on this one some more.
