Is That a Bleed Through or a Tracer?

Recommended Posts

Found these 2 killer Corks today after scouring yard sale posts on face book asking folks if they have any old marbles they would part with. Seems to be a proven tried and true tactic. Both these are around ⅝"-21/32" 1 unfortunately has a blemish but a very hard to catch one. Almost unseen. So are they tri color corks? & Is that dark line a bleeding mix or a Tracer?

Couple of good marbles there - Superman variants. I think the dark is just some discoloration in the mix, not intentional. Akro probably would have called them Specials.

"Tracer" is a Peltier trait named by Gino Biffany.

An older marble collector(rip) that was a Telephone technician (yep telephones like those that hang on the wall with cords attached). He named these after the little white lines that that some colors had on the wires that he worked with everyday. He was and still is one of the greatest Peltier collectors known.

Never associate the name tracers with anything but Peltier "Tracers".

Respect!

Marble--On!!

Thanks I did not realize that i thought it was just a term used to identify a line that traces the edge of a swirl within a marble.
