The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...

Cool mibs, Kimber. NBD, either way but I want to make sure you are aware that you could have edited your original post to remove the duplicate photo and replace it with this one. Just click the three little dots in the upper right on any one of your posts and select 'edit' to give it a try - it's easy peasy. ๐ -
I see the quandry - the blue color, in particular, and the seams look more Akro than Vitro to me.
-
I noticed the Crow-look too - the colors just seemed weak to me, which is why I suggested later ones.
-
I second that sentiment! And I am very fortunate to still be my Mother's baby boy. No kidding, that's how she recently introduced me to one of her friends - I'm 64 years old! ๐คฃ

I feel for ya', man. It's sort of been the same around here for the past week - already hot and sticky. It's like, what happened to spring? Fortunately, it's breaking here now and looks to get back closer to normal this week. You can always go put a lawn chair in the Columbia - I'll bet it's got a pretty good chill to it.

These are pretty simple marbles so there is not much to base an ID on but they impress me as later Akro or maybe Master.
-
Wow, those are great marbles, Jeff, and a good story to go with them. Is there a noticeable seam or two on that red lace? I think I might see one but I'm not entirely sure. I'm now tempted to break out the old RR VHS tapes too. lol

I really like this marble - with a little backlighting to bring out the good bit of transparent amber/red base glass . . .
-
Cool Marble, Dave, the second view is stellar-looking.
-
I'd say it's a nice sample too. A couple look like "sand layer" rejects - sorta lost it on half the marble. It also looks like an Alley Exotic Coral and a Peltier Multicolor Swirl snuck into the pic. Having known Clyde, the Pelt doesn't surprise me too much and there were quite a few Alleys that were originally attributed to CAC too.

Peltier cotes master loaf..did I get lucky today?

Great marble! -
@Dave 13 Nice slags, Dave! @Carowill Very nice swirls, Bill - the electric yellow is great! @akroorka Nice Alley, Art! That one looks to be in great condition, which is saying something since the glass on those is so soft, and given the bling they were probably a lot of kid's favorites, so they're usually pretty beat. And that's a pretty corkscrew too - nice size! @Jeff54 Cool CAC, Jeff, I certainly see what you mean about it being"unusually exotic" - wild and funky pattern, for sure.

Some folks might call those "Blended" Bees.

That's a good collection of spirals, Joep!

Nice bags, Joep. The Buddy is Ravenswood. I haven't seen many of the small Bogard Cat's Eye bags.
-
I think marbles like this might be found in a Sparkler box - I'd call it a Sparkler Patch. The structure reminds me of an "eye" patch but on a transparent base with wispy white - sorta like a cross between a Sparkler and a Popeye Patch. It's a really pretty marble but a weak example of a Sparkler in my mind.
-
I think they're all Champion.
-
The first looks like a Type I Tiger Eye with some blue covering what should have been a white polar patch. The second looks like a dug Akro to me.
-
It looks more like an Alley than any other American manufacturer to me.
