  1. Look for the eyelashes too, Tommy. They're most common on Akro, although Masters show the trait pretty regularly and you might find it much less frequently on other marbles too.
  2. It's hard to tell given the lighting. It might be Master but it also looks like it might be foreign, at least to me.
  3. They're all nice, Bill. I especially like that oddball Christmas Tree.
  4. The strong lighting sort of confuses me, it's hard to see the seams, and the mibs look surreal. For ID purposes, it's best to see them the way they look in hand under more normal lighting. I think these are Vitro, mostly caged style.Although, I think folks may have slightly different definitions of "caged". Many of the cages style vanes are thinner. Some of these are more like vanes than the classic cage-style, but these do appear to separate at the axis, which is a must for a cage style.
  5. I think most of those are newer Marble Kings - I am not aware of a Vitro called an Anti-Whitie.
  6. Hello Edward, Welcome to The Marble Connection! You are correct that all are Cat's Eyes, except the big hand-made in the last photo. Many of the Cat's Eyes appear to be foreign, most likely from Asia. You might want to check some of the dark green ones in the first pic, out in the sun, for sparkling aventurine. Most of these are common, but as with most marbles, the more color the better, and it looks like you have some nicer ones in the last photo - I have always been fond of the ones with sky blue, white and dark red. The big one looks like an Onion Skin but I'll let someone else talk to you about that one - it's not really in my wheel house.my thing.
  7. I am thinking the first is an Akro Tricolor and the second is an Akro too.
  8. Man, there's some real eye candy showing up in this thread. The Pelt Heads are having a field day!
  9. I really appreciate the thoughts. I had narrowed it down to Alley or Ravenswood too - I have just never seen a CAC with similar colors. The structure does look more Ravenswood than Alley to me, but when I think about who made the most blue-based marbles I have to lean toward Alley too. In fact, I am not sure I can think of a Ravenswood with a blue base similar to this one. Although, I sure would be interested to see some if anyone has any. Thanks Again!
  10. There are still a few foreign marbles, likely Mexican or Asian in the group, but there are a lot more vintage marbles here. For the most part I see some Vitro Conquerors and other patch style marbles, the blue, yellow, orange and white patch and ribbon style is a Vitro Tiger Eye. There might be a few Marble King marbles too. The nicest marble is the big blue, white and yellow swirl - I'd probably put that in my collection. Of course, it's important to remember that just like with all collectible glass, condition is key - a $100 marble can turn into a $10 marble pretty quickly.
  11. Welcome,These are all modern, maybe new, marbles. Many look Asian but there might be a couple from Mexico in the mix.
  12. I am going to leave the particulars to the CAC aficionados. But I would say you grabbed some great marbles! The two upper right look like Blue Laces to me. Nice find!
  13. I don't know about odd, but I have found these gray/silver colored Rainbos hard to come by. Which is why I kept the one on the left even though it's beat up.
  14. FWIW, I also think it's a common clearie with a cold roll.
  15. Well, the color palette Chad posted looks gray and so do the non-Angels posted here. It must just be the lighting on the ones from the Pelt Info Site that make them look more tan than gray to me. Muddie4 on that site looks gray to me too, so at least it's not my monitor - it's just me!
  16. Looks Asian to me too. I have a few black ones that are chock full of AV.
  17. Ric

    Foreign?

Too bad it's dinged up - it's a nicer one, IMO.
  18. The yellow one looks a bit like a Vitro Whitie.
  19. I have never considered an opaque base (no light passes through) to be "muddy", regardless of it's color. Am I wrong? Next question, does any light pass through the base of a Gray Dragon or a Confederate? Last question, is the base color of this marble gray or tan? It looks more tan than gray to me and I want to know if I am having monitor issues. The base on this one looks way more gray to me: Am I seeing things?
  20. When I think of a muddy, I think as much about the way the base looks as its color, and my muddy does run to gray. Maybe because the first marble I ever associated with muddy was the Pelt with the light gray base and weak green ribbons, like Muddie4 on the Peltier Info Site.
  21. Based on that one pic, I would not have thought Vitro.
