  1. Nice marbles, Folks! Here's a Blue Blood I traded for some nice WV Swirls. Hmmm . . . ya' think that's got anything to do with the fact that I have a pitiful Akro collection? lol.

    Vitro Superiors

I'd have those with my Superiors, Winnie.

    Vitro Superiors

Wow, a bit more time with the magic wand and that could've been downright convincing! lol
  4. Oh yeah, they did make some nice ones. Great colors on yours, Big John. In my book, it's a killer!

    Vitro Superiors

Oh yeah . . . it's different. I would have guessed Marble King.

    Vitro Superiors

Cool spermatozoan-shaped contaminant on that marble, Orbboy. Although Vitro is not one of my stronger suits, I'd say it's a Trilite. But it's lacking a red ribbon on one side of the yellow patch, so I wouldn't put it with my Superiors. Here's a Superior with a little swirling action, which makes this otherwise bland example a bit more interesting.

    Vitro Aquamarines

Ah . . . "groovy" . . . one of my favorite words - brings back times I don't remember. But, if I do recall correctly, these are also Aquamarine types.

    Vitro Aquamarines

I think some refer to these as Aquamilks. They seem more like a variant of Aquamarines than Buttermilks to me . . .
  9. Maybe it doesn't fit the request, but it's a Pelt and it reverses so . . .
  10. And even sweeter than I imagined - thanks for showing it!
  11. Keep this Memorial always in mind. It is a solemn remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can all enjoy our freedoms. Let us not abuse their endowment, which was so hard won. Sincere thanks to all those veterans who served honorably and those currently enlisted in our service.
  12. I would call them Parrots too - nice patch and ribbon style.
  13. I think that's one heck of a nice marble, Jack. Very cool!

    Vitro Buttermilks

I'm not sure about that one. The ribbons look like they might be O.K. but I'm not seeing any "butter".
  15. Yikes! Don't mistake what I said . . . I just think the one I showed is not much to look at. Galen's and Bills are SPECTACULAR!
  16. Very nice. I'll bet that dark one on the left is awesome back-lit.
  17. Honest, Steve. Jake took the car out alone last night for the first time. He was gone about four hours. I was a mess. I can only imagine how you must feel. I hope all goes well for your son. Please keep us posted.
  18. This is likely Navarre. Incredibly exciting, huh?

    Vitro Aquamarines

Here's a No. 4 outlier. It has a considerable amount of butter-colored transparent glass, but it also has aqua, brown and red. Is it a poor example of an Aquamarine or a poor example of an Aquamilk? I think it got lost somewhere between the two types and wound up being neither. But I still think it's a purty marble.
  20. Those are cool! Some of the old Gilbert chemistry sets had some pretty dangerous stuff in them too. If you ever see one in an antique shop . . . be careful!
  21. Cool, Rich. I've never seen a better assembly of cat's eye footballs.

    Vitro Buttermilks

I've heard that many Buttermilks were found in Worcester Salt bags too. As for translucence, these smaller ones allow some light through, but not the shooter.
  23. Pretty cool marbles . . . that last one reminds me of a classic Tie Dye.
  24. Is it the "All-knowing Eye" of Akro?
